Situated between the Slieve Bloom Mountains and Emo Park Domain, centered on the town of Mountmellick, our group of parishes takes in the villages of Emo, Rosenallis and Clonaslee. There are 3 churches in the Group, each with a parish hall. We have a selection of different activities as well as the usual Sunday services – Youth club, Tuesday club (for older people), Bible discussions, Mothers’ Union, Healer Prayer Group. We also support Trust, a charity which works among homeless people in Dublin.
I come originally from Baltinglass, Co Wicklow but have lived and worked up and down the country. I was ordained in 2002 and served as a curate in St Mark’s Church, Portadown for three years before moving to Cork, to serve as curate with responsibility for The Church of the Resurrection, Blarney for five years. I have been the Rector here since October 2010 and I enjoy keeping up with Coronation Street, knitting, reading and some gardening.
