We are all aware of the restrictions currently in place for the counties of Kildare, Laois and Offaly, as well as the recent update from the Government around Covid-19 and restrictions. These restrictions continue until midnight on Sunday 23rd August, so no church services will take place in these counties this coming Sunday.
With the recent update from the Government around Covid-19 and restrictions, whilst indoor gatherings are reduced to six people, this does not affect religious services which may continue up to a maximum of 50, depending on 2m distancing in each particular church (this does not change the above arrangements re Kildare, Laois and Offaly). However, this does affect other indoor gatherings such as Select & General Vestry meetings.
Indoor weddings are exempt from the new restrictions, meaning they can still take place with up to 50 people, again depending on 2m distancing in each particular church.
