Bishop Pat Storey has welcomed the appointment of Canon Thomas Deenihan as the new Roman Catholic Bishop of Meath.

Bishop Storey is the Church of Ireland Bishop of Meath and Kildare. She said: “I congratulate Canon Deenihan on his appointment. He will find a warm welcome, not least from the Church of Ireland community, as he begins his new ministry in Meath. It is evident that he brings great experience to his new role”
