#GlobalSonRise social media campaign

The Anglican Communion is co-ordinating a social media campaign for Easter Sunday.  Members of its churches around the world are encouraged to post a text or video message to Twitter at 5am (local time) on Easter Sunday using the hashtag #GlobalSonRise and indicating where the message is coming from.

A suggested script for videos is below.  Video messages can be up to two minutes in length, and can be recorded in advance and scheduled to appear at that time.  The spelling is deliberate and the idea is to counter media coverage of closed church buildings with the message of the resurrection. If anyone is unable to schedule a post but still wishes to take part, they can record a brief video (mobile is fine) and email it to news@anglicancommunion.org or send it to Gavin by WhatsApp to +447795570301
