Following his ordination Philip will be serving his deacon-internship year in Kildare and Newbridge Group of parishes.

Immediately prior to his time at the Church of Ireland Theological College he served as Church of Ireland chaplain at Dublin City University. He has also worked in a Methodist church plant in Blanchardstown, as well as with the Church of Ireland Hard Gospel project. He is a co-founder of the Discovery Gospel Choir.

Married to Julia, they have a young family.

Dean Tim Wright said, “We are excited about welcoming Philip to the leadership team in our Group. He will be our first deacon intern and we are grateful for the trust placed in us.” He continued, “He joins us at a time when our communities are growing, as we we welcome everyone back to on site church and seek to reach out to all. It’ll be fun.”

Kildare and Newbridge parish wish him the very best for his ordination and ministry amongst them.
