We welcome Rev William Seale as joint Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Warden of Readers in Meath and Kildare, working alongside Rev Ruth O’Kelly. William takes over from Canon Alastair Graham, who recently retired from parochial ministry.

William is rector of Kells Union of parishes. Ruth is Priest-in Charge of Clane Union of parishes.

What does a Diocesan Director of Ordinands do?

Diocesan Directors of Ordinands (DDOs) help people to discover their gifts and use them in the Church.

Ordained ministry is one way of using our gifts within the overall mission of the Church but it is not the only way.

God calls all His followers into some kind of service.

But service can take many forms.

The DDOs have different ways of supporting those who are asking the question, “What is God calling me to do?”

They will facilitate opportunities to help you discover the answer to that question and will connect you with others who are also exploring their sense of vocation.
